Project Prompt:
ELEVATE Description
You are going to create a poster for a summer music festival called ‘Elevate.’ You can decide what genre of music this festival is featuring. You will also have to come up with a time & date, location, and bands. Although I don’t want any subject-photography integrated into this, I am not totally against using raster textures if you can convince me you need them to enhance your design. You must present this poster at the end of the week in a full-color 11x17 print.
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS:
- 9 Sketches using the principles of design... be ready to talk about the principles
- Principles of design - use them in your sketches and design
- 11"x17" Portrait (tall)
- Headline - name of event or thing... (eg "ELEVATE", "Into The Woods", "We're Probably in the bar" - piano bar poster headline)
- Subheadline - a tagline... why should I care?
- Time, Date, Location
- Body copy (eg what it about, band names for a festival... some sort of copy)
