This project helped deepen my understanding on layer masks.

Layer masks can be similar to cookie cutters, and that is how I was able to treat this project. 

I used the text to chop the words out of some blue colored hair. After that, I used some effects to make the letters pop and seem more 3D.

The hair strands on the outside of the words were from a brush I made; the brush was only a few curved lines that slightly resembled hair.
