40RTY (2013)
Digital Photography in Video Slideshow + Interview
In a country where change is so rapid, many of my childhood places are slowly disappearing. Thankfully, one of the places I grew up in has remained very much unchanged - my grandma's (or "popo", as I affectionately call her) house. However, whether the unchanging nature of the house is a godsend or a disaster is left debatable, as you will see in this series of photographs and through the interview with my grandma.
"40RTY" explores a place through a journalistic yet, slightly voyeuristic approach, in hopes of making sense out of the chaos, and to validate / invalidate a dweller's interaction with his place.
