"GEN Z never forget the traditional values of nation"
With a passion for and a love of the arts, as well as a desire to learn and execute groundbreaking projects, our team of students has endeavored to carry out this project.
"Welcome, I'm delighted to present this project to you!
Teaser shortfilm "Ky Tam"
Do you still remember the yesteryear?
The vibrant ambiance of Full Moon Day, where kids excitedly display their exquisite lanterns along with brilliant lion dance performances mixed with the sounds of gongs.
Dancing Lion seems to bring back childhood memories. We got together on such days and changed into The Earth God or Dancing Lions. Cheering with the neighborhood’s children is an indescribable feeling and an unforgettable time.
Empowered by the echoes of Lion Dance, our dreams take flight, soaring towards the boundless sky of national knowledge. Within this vast expanse lies the wisdom of our ancestors, a treasure trove waiting to be discovered. As we grow, the memories of Lion Dance will not only warm our hearts but also ignite a passion for learning, propelling us forward to explore the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage.
So, have you ever heard of …
“The connection between the Lion Dance and the artisan?”
Lion dance enthusiasts and performers possess hearts of steel. They remain unfazed by the arduousness of high-intensity training and fearlessly perform atop Mai Hoa Thung platforms that soar over three meters high. However, even their hardened hearts can shatter, especially when witnessing the suffering of their loved ones. At that moment, their vulnerability surfaces, making them susceptible to "the grip of fear."
Imagine a child witnessing a loved one being physically hurt. To cope with such a harrowing experience, the child may choose to distance themselves from Lion Dance. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it is a natural defense mechanism for anyone. Ancient tribes recognized this and believed it to be a "disconnection from the spirit."
Therefore, you "fear" because of joyous memories that have been "entombed" within the deepest chambers of your soul. Only echoes of past hurts linger in your heart.
Our task is to "exhume" those cherished emotions, allowing them to rise once more and vanquish the fear that holds you captive.
From this wellspring, you shall reconnect with the essence of your being, and live a life with a heart brimming with the radiant pride that is your birthright.
AT KY TAM, WE REPRESENT IT!
