TRAC Social Media Takeover

I founded and run TRAC (the Trans Rights Action Committee), a subcommittee within Starbucks Workers United. TRAC had just formed and was struggling to spread awareness about its existence. To address this, we decided to run a social media takeover month and post content about trans workers from the national SBWU accounts. I led this project and designed infographics, managed workers as they created content, and recruited workers to create social media videos.

The TRAC social media takeover was very successful, and we created some of the most popular posts on the SBWU social media pages. These posts received thousands of views, likes, and comments across Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
Graphic I created for Trans Day of Remembrance.
Infographic I created to introduce the TRAC social media takeover.
Video created for Instagram and TikTok. For this video, I was responsible for reaching out to workers and gathering photos and videos from the Red Cup Rebellion strikes.
I recruited two workers to record videos sharing their experiences.
Infographic written and designed by trans workers. I asked two workers to create this infographic and guided them throughout the process to ensure it was published on time.
Another infographic I created calling on HRC to support trans Starbucks workers. I designed the infographic, gathered quotes from workers, and edited their statements for grammar and brevity.
Video ending the TRAC social media takeover. I asked members of TRAC to send in short clips saying "Trans rights are labor rights!" and created a compilation video. This is one of the most popular posts on the SBWU social media pages, with ninety-five thousand views on Instagram and ninety-four thousand views on TikTok.
