Wari Wari Café - TXT Anniversary Event with Molang

Wari Wari Café - Tomorrow x Together 5th Debut Anniversary Event with Molang
The 4th of March, 2024 marked five years since the debut of the five member South Korean K-Pop group Tomorrow X Together (TXT). As the admin of the UK based fanbase, TXTMOAUK, I organised a range of events and collaborations to mark the occasion and bring together the UK MOA (fans of TXT) community.

'Wari Wari Café', named after the TXT song ‘MOA Diary’ that talks about the celebrations of memories made together, was the main event at Sokollab/Borabori Cafe in London to celebrate the anniversary with official involvement of ‘Molang’ and the Millimages graphic team. TXT has shown a love for Molang, especially Hueningkai, so it was a meaningful collaboration for me to achieve for TXT and MOA.

The event featured limited edition freebie designs (including cupsleeve, A6 print, sticker, photostrip and photocard), specialty drinks/cake, a giveaway of plush prizes sponsored by ‘Molang’ creator Hye-Ji Yoon and Molang and TXT themed areas throughout the cafe and retail areas at Sokollab/Borabori.

Special drinks menu feature ‘Crown’ with a blue to yellow ombré effect that takes inspiration from the colours of TXT’s debut EP ‘The Dream Chapter : STAR’, and ‘Sugar Rush Ride’, a blackberry ade inspired by their most recent title track from their EP ‘The Name Chapter : TEMPTATION’.

The event cake was provided by 'Hanok in London', an independent business offering a range of traditional Korean rice cakes and desserts. The cupcake featured at the event was inspired by the TXT song ‘Blue Spring’ that describes the relationship between TXT and MOA. The cupcake incorporated traditional Korean flavours with a white bean icing, highlighting the tastes of traditional Korean treats. Hanok in London had their official cafe opening on the fifteenth of March in New Malden, London.

Several other brands and stores across the UK showed their involvement in the celebration in the form of a Scavenger Hunt with Little Korea restaurant, a fan event at Side Quest, HMV KPOP Shop, K Stars and several online retail stores offering discounts on selected TXT products.

Wari Wari Café attracted about 240 attendees from across the UK, including K-Culture influencers Korean Billy (@koreanbilly), Becky Lee Smith (@hangukhapa) and Michael Espinosa (@mikeyespinosa).
