This project was based on two social issues of the day. I made two mind maps to help guide my process. I selected images from magazines, books, and pexels.com to print. Once the images were collected, they were assembled onto an 12x18" paper and scanned. In Photoshop, the collages were resized and one was printed at 24x36" on matte paper. My first collage centers around the Mental Load on women in today's world.

My second collage is about Global Warming and the effects on our planet. 

My goal for this collage was to present a visual representation of the mental weight women carry in our society. I chose imagery that fit this project, with a mix of domestic of cultural references. I endeavored to depict the internal struggles women face as well.

My goal for this collage was to illustrate the failing status of the earth due to the harmful effects of plastics, pollution, and the use of nonrenewable resources. Layering the imagery created a depth of field. I chose a color scheme that highlights the heat of our planet and the rising temperatures.
