Origami/Kirigami Project - Inspirations

This picture I took of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.  I love the texture of the granite and would like to incorporate the colors and texture captured in this image.  I love the mass of the object as well and feel that this will serve as a good base for my project.
This picture I took of my sillouhette in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.  The colors are so vibrant and I love the feeling captured here.  The feeling is something I would like to capture in my project.  The image almost jumps out at you.
The above image is an image of a suspension bridge in a jungle.  The depth captivates my eyes and draws me in.  I want to capture the depth here.  I do not own the rights to the above image.
I started the project by cutting out small rectangled pieces of construction papter in various colors.  I started with Blue and White (imaged above).  This was to sybolize the first image in this project of Half Dome.  I loved the colors and the texture and shape of the rock and wanted to capture that fealing.  I arranged the paper origami triangles stratigically to mimic that feel.
I folded green paper in the same triangular manner as I began with.  I then stacked the papers on top of eachother.  At this given point I was unsure as to what I wanted to do with the final prject.  The above image is not exactly what I was going for.
Above is the final project after I took yellow and orange construction paper, again folded into the triangular fashion.  I arranged them into a semi-circular fashion to mimic the colors of the water spring that I captured in the second image in this project.
This is the final prject as imaged from above.  This is the ultimate image and feel that I wanted to capture.  The orange and yellow mimics the orange and yellow water pool that I captured in the second image in this project.  The green symbolizes the rope bridge imaged in the third picture of this project.  And the blue and white structure at the back of the project captures the feeling of the half dome structure captured in the first image of this project.

Overall I was happy with the outcome of this project because it has dimention, depth, color, and texture.  A success if I do say so myself.
