As our final project, we were tasked with creating a poster for an event at a museum, performing arts, or other appropriate venue. As a native of San Francisco, I settled on the popular music festival Outside Lands for my subject matter.

Given a large amount of creative freedom with this project, I began with an analysis of the festival's past posters to make sure my design reflected the legacy of Outside Lands as much as possible. Taking inspiration loosely from old national park posters, I used an panoramic view of the Golden Gate Bridge as my primary subject matter whilst interspersing imagery that connected the poster to the park such as the well known windmill. Blocking out colors and shading into larger areas in addition to choosing font styles similar to that of national park posters, I feel I created a design that reflected it's inspiration.
