The Common Boy
I wrote this poem at a time where I felt a strong sense of lack—a ceaseless yearning to be more, to be bigger, to be special. This is a gentle poetic reproach for myself to learn to rekindle gratitude for the gift of the senses, which contain a richness that is easy to take for granted. I was also delighted to see how well 0001SemiRealistic v54 could paint like William Morris.
