"Dream" lithography

"DREAM" Anna Redko, Lithography, 170x245 mm, 2024
The image of a shell is an universal harmony hidden in a spiral Fibonacci with the mystery inside. And the music of the sea, like the endless space in which the shell is placed. And fragile and graceful origami cranes fly in weightless space like daydreams.
The work was made using one of the most complex printing techniques - lithography. This is a stone engraving - Solnhof limestone is used, which is about 150 million years old.
The image is applied to the stone using fatty materials and etched in acid. Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Picasso and other recognized masters worked in the lithography technique. Each print is a multi-step, labor-intensive process where handcraft is closely intertwined with artistic skill.
