I bought an 1878 edition of The Imitation of Christ by Thomas à Kempis and I was captured by the etching for the first chapter, which quotes from John 8:12 — He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness. Despite being totally exhausted, I had some passion inside me that pushed me to spend my weekend improving the illustration by adding colour and detail to it. I hope you enjoy it! It was created with Photoshop and Stable Diffusion (Auto1111) using 0001SemiRealistic (SD 1.5) and Painter's Checkpoint (SDXL). The upscaler was 4x_NMKD-Siax_200k.
