DUMMY
Self-initiated project. Redesign of classic Portishead album “Dummy”.
Being one of my all-time favourite albums, this debut by British outfit Portishead has since its release in 1994 manifested itself as a magnum opus of the Trip-Hop genre.
I wanted to create the cover as a somewhat tactile experience, adding a bit of interactivity by letting people create their “own” cover artwork by switching up the printed motives and patterns in the cover.
Like the original cover, it features imagery from Portishead’s own ’94 short film “To Kill a Dead Man”.
