Engagement through data interaction

Could you be a victim of identity theft? Is the premise for engaging with this interactive piece.

1 out 10 citizens in the U.S. has experienced identity theft.  Sometimes media and public opinion blows up events, causing fear and doubts in the general population. Which sector of the population is more exposed to be victims of identity theft? What are some causes and correlations? Can data visualization shed light on this topic?

We want to explore different ways in which an audience can engage and relate with clean and simple graphics that invite them to analysis and to create their own insights about alienating topics.

This data exploration was made for Data Visualization class at SVA. Special thanks to Maggie and Julie who teach us how data can be exciting, simple and thoughful. This is the result of our exploration.
