Lost Village in KL
This artwork piece that I have created is about the traditional Malay houses which are on the brink of extinction due to urbanisation and economic development. My creative process is influenced by walking around in KL and seen few people who are still living in traditional Malay houses in a middle of the city. Therefore, I wanted to raise the awareness on the importance of preserving traditional Malay houses for future generations and their potential as tourist attraction. The uniqueness of traditional Malay architecture should be appreciated more in this modern generations. Hopefully I can inspire others to think more deeply about the value of preserving our culture heritage in Malaysia.
