This Mini project explores how I navigated a narrow project brief in a short space of time. Combining one of my favourite designers; Chopova Lowena with Scottish tailoring and is made using solely recycled and or waste materials.
Chopova Lowena Brand board
this board looks at Chopova Lowena and their inspirations with them often mixing punk, sports and Bulgarian folk wear. Their unique skirts made from old Bulgarian fabrics.
Combined concept board
in this page I looked at the similarities between Chopova Lowena's pre exhisting collections and Scottish tailoring and how this can inform designs for a ready to wear collection. In response to this I created an illustration inspired by the collage
Final Designs
This page shows the collage line up I completed using images from Chopova Lowenas pre existing garments, Scottish Tailoring and Bulgarian Folk wear. Below is my Final line up in response to the collage above with the fabric I made using scrap Scottish tartan. The large collage on the left hand side highlights key features I wanted to include specifically the shawl like features within Scottish Tailoring.
