Picture This is a 10,000-word book created over the span of 15 weeks. We were tasked with creating a book that documented something. It could be anything. The concept for Picture This was based on my love of reading and writing. Over those 15 weeks, I photographed, lettered, and wrote about random words chosen using a dictionary and a random number generator. The photographs all have some relationship to the word itself. Sometimes, it is easy to figure out; other times, you must read the entry to understand the connection. There are over 30 photographs and lettering pieces in this book. This book was designed to be a relatively easy read. There is a large amount of white space, and pictures take up large portions of the pages to allow the text room to exist on its own. The final print size of this book is 8.5” x 8.5” and is 84 pages in total.
