s.now is a digital magazine developed with the new digital publishing tool by adobe (Beta version). The design concept for the e-magazine and an iPad-prototype is the practical part of my bachelor thesis in Summer 2011. The s.now magazine is an attempt to upgrade the traditional print-media in skiing and snowboarding fields to the current state in the publishing area.
s.now is a fictive digital magazine concept which combine two special interest fields like free-skiing and snowboarding in one new medium – the tablet touch-device. The new medium allows to deploy rich media content like videos, sound and 3D into typical print layouts. s.now uses this feature to create a new way of infotainment and communication in the world of special- interest magazines and publishing.
The title s.now is a combination of the words snow and now – it means the user gets the option to access everywhere and everytime the current news of the skiing and snowboarding world.
