Torchbearer Magazine is the flagship magazine for the University of Tennessee. I was asked to do the cover art that focused on research in the mobility area. I've been working on icons and textures in all our current research gateways that have been released, so to be able to continue that work here was fun for me.

It's amazing how many versions of this particular cover I designed. I was going one way and by the end I went in an entirely different direction. I think each direction was fun but the final had more legs to run with, especially since I didn't do the inside spread of this issue. It allowed Angie to take the elements and repurpose them for what was written.
