The concept for this project was to create a dice mold and a clamp that could compete with home made dice molds and was meant to keep the workflow of casting dice easy and modular in a way.
The Mold can be disassembled in 3 parts for optimal removal of pieces and casting. it has a double lid module to allows working by halves of the mold if required. It fits in a 2 parts "Anvil" clamp, inspired by the idea of forging dice. The design lets yo see the curing state through its semitransparent body, and de-molding presents you the dice as if you just mine precious gems out of it.
For the video the client wanted to present the product in a short turn table showing the assembly of the mold, clap and dice in it. Ending in the logo of the product on shown on the top of the clamp meant for a smooth transition later on in post-production to the presentation of their logo.
The animation was made in Houdini FX, Plasticity for some modeling and rendered using Arnord.
