Book "Saberes Ancestrales"
Collection of books on the traditions of the native peoples of northern Chile. Work that has compiled the knowledge of the inhabitants, the execution of their traditions and the interpretation of their environment.
The project is under the auspices of Filantropia Cortes Solari and led by Daniela Diaz, this project is still in process.
The collection has 10 books, which have more than 80 illustrations. The initial editorial design was made by Carolina Correa and with my collaboration, to later be taken over by Estudio Zooma.
Illustrations interpreting channel cleaning. This is a very important tradition for the native people of the north of Chile, who in addition to cleaning, perform ceremonies that accompany the process.
Each book is composed of stories, photographs and illustrations of my creation.
It has been an honor to interpret the stories through illustration. It has been very important the description to capture with respect the details of the traditions.
