ŠKODA Responsible Exploration

A quick data, only 30% of the country's entire plastic produce is recycled, with the remaining 70% ending up in landfills. Although we have witnessed numerous positives in this long fight against plastic, they have never been enough to totally eliminate its use. But the good part is that when humanity needed an urgent solution they got one.
The process of mixing single-use plastic with tar and making roads has begun. ŠKODA sees this as an opportunity to contribute to its goal of sustainable and responsible exploration.

Despite having a 6.3 million kilometre road network, 30% of Indians still lack necessary road access, which is also a major cause of school dropout in rural India. So, ŠKODA, when notified about Kolavadai village and the hardships of the villagers for not having a road for ages, they decided to build one.

This is the first step that ŠKODA has taken towards Responsible Exploration where they are spreading awareness about not throwing plastics everywhere and encouraging them to deposit them in their dealerships which will later be used in making roads.

It’s just not a campaign but a mission to connect every village of India and to send every student to school. Nobody should drop-out because of inaccessibility.
