Neue Gold
This font is specifically designed for gold pressing.
The concept:
The concept was to create a modern font for traditional foil gold pressing.
Once the lower and upper case letters were created I took them into Blender to create 3d object out of them. Then they were 3D printed and made into a usable pressing kit. The name is derived from the words "Neue" and "gold", thus giving a clear indication of its function.

About the font design:
I could not use high contrast when designing the letters, as the smaller, thinner parts are lost when pressing, stamping the gold foil.
The specimen:
I have also made a specimen to give a more comprehensive introduction to the font family itself. It turned out to be a short, small, paper-bound publication with interesting information about the history of printing and about the font.
