Project Outline
The client was trying to create a new logo and brand design for his new startup venture. His startup idea was in the fintech industry to provide a budget tracker/personal finance app for Individuals and SMEs. From the beginning of the project, the client pursued the logo to have the look of a Chart as that would be the first look of their app. The chart would track everything about the end users' personal finances. Meanwhile, the client also planned that the app could link many promos for the users.

Mood Board Creation
Before starting the project, I tried to create a mood board containing images reflecting the brand vibe and colors that were probably going to be used. From the beginning, the client wanted the brand to be blue and green. This mood board below confirmed that the nuance of the images and the specific blue and green fit the client's vision of how the finizzi should look. I was then able to start with the explorations work with my playgrounds by using the mood board as the guide.

Logo Development
The most remarkable logos are born from a realm of explorations and playgrounds. Creativity thrives when it has the freedom to explore uncharted territories, free from the constraints of fear. This philosophy has always been the guiding force behind all my projects, enabling me, as a designer, to push the boundaries of creativity. The glimpses shared below represent just a fraction of the countless sketches and some unused vector graphics that were part of the genuine creative journey. In reality, this exploration process is often chaotic and unpredictable. However, it is within this playful chaos that the seeds of brilliant logo concepts are sown and nurtured.






Logo Approved
From the 1st Logo Draft, the client already felt that Concept 03 would be the best one to be finalized. However, the client wanted to make sure by having more options and explorations. Therefore, we went to the 2nd Logo Draft. The client eventually agreed that Concept 3 from the 1st Logo Draft was finalized as the finizzi Logo.






Logomark Meaning and Construction
This logo is an f monogram structured by two shapes of quarter doughnut chart (finizzi main feature to track personal finance). By its simplicity, this logo is very easy to be remembered. It has both the look of elegance and modern. 


The logotype is from Google Font of Muli Bold (finizzi) and Semibold (TM). This font has now changed its name to Mulish. I have seen some changes in the characters. However, it was created based on the Muli Font (not Mulish).
Brand Colors
The primary colors of the finizzi brand are turquoise, sapphire, tech navy, and pure white. Those colors are mainly used for the logo and in most cases to represent the finizzi visual identity. However, in some cases, secondary colors like steady mint, purple shade, inno green, and vivid yellow are needed. The secondary colors can complement the primary colors, playing backgrounds, shades, themes, and/or brand elements.





Typography
The typography of this brand uses two variations of typeface, Muli (as described previously to be the logotype of finizzi) and Metropolis. Below is only an easy-grab guide for using Muli and Metropolis for the finizzi visual identity as every layout might vary and needs its own adjustments.​​​​​​​




Brand Patterns
Thanks to the simplicity of the Logo, it can be rotated, rearranged, flipped, overlapped, and/or added with images to create some pattern. The pattern will remind the audience of the logo shape to recall it is finizzi identity. Below is an example of how the logo becomes a brand pattern. It can be played with different layouts and colors.







Brand Application
Here below is how the brand logo, colors, typography, and pattern apply to User Interface, Payment Device, Social Media, Stationery, Signage, Merchandise, and Billboard to create a unity of Visual Identity for finizzi as a fintech company.
