In English there is the saying "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", but the Italian version says "Better to have an egg today than the chicken tomorrow".

 

My personal view of this saying is that in the complicated world we live in, we should try to get both the egg today and the chicken tomorrow, trying to build a sustainable future. Is this chicken pondering about this profound truth?
