I worked closely with the team at Senza Hotel while iterating different versions of what the mural could be.  We took inspiration from the colors of the Napa Valley region, as well as different wine varieties.

Here, the overall shape of the map starts to solidify.  We also honed in on a smaller color palette, focusing on the reds and purples of the wine varieties and the yellows and greens of the natural landscape that makes Napa so special.

Finally, we settle on the overall look of the map, scaled up to 1:1 size.  This required heavy lifting from my computer, as the mural was 9' x 40' long!

To ensure a seamless finish, I made detailed installation instructions noting panel breakdowns, overlaps, and the overall intended appearance of the mural.  This was very important, as I couldn't be on site to ensure the map was installed correctly.
