The Photographs
The mannequins I photographed from outside a Macy's store at City Creek in Salt Lake City. The photograph on the second spread I shot while teaching photography in Kansas.
The Layout
This was an exploration of shape and print pigment primaries.
The Typography
The fonts are Bickham Script Pro Bold, Univers 39, and Univers 45.
The last line of the article is given additional closure by the yellow angular background graphic. The column wraps around the quotation. There is a character to indicate the end of the article.
The title type extremities are tangent on the curve of the cyan background graphic. The subtitle left aligns with the body text . The dropcap underline centers its width to the 13th line of text.
