The Repulsive Flower, 2020.

"When I started this project, I knew I wanted to discuss gender differences in ceramic history, but in some naive way, I didn't think I was part of what I wanted to talk about. First, I began to study the feminization of the late history of Western ceramics, and I came to the terrible realization that I did not value this kind of ceramics. When I painted the plant pattern on the vase, the pink flowers filled me with fear, and I suddenly began to feel ashamed of what I was doing; I don't want anyone to see my sketches and attempts without me being there, so I can explain that there's actually a great conceptual idea behind it, and it's not really my artistic style. I often use traditional porcelain for my creations, but I always add modern elements such as cigarettes and leopard prints to make it feel 'more Cool '. I do things with traditional porcelain, but I unconsciously ignore a large part of the field, I choose a few things that suit my taste, the rest is forgotten, and I am also influencing which part of history is worth remembering."
