CF Napa Creates New Rhythm for Cliff Lede
Cliff Lede Vineyards engaged CF Napa to create the packaging for a new Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the exceptional quality of their Stags Leap District estate vineyards. From the Backstage Tasting Lounge featuring art by well-known rockstars to the vineyard blocks, lovingly referred to as “Rock Blocks”, named after Cliff Lede’s favorite songs and albums, music is an ever-present influence at the winery. When Cliff Lede Vineyards was naming their new wine, they naturally gave it a musically inspired name – Rhythm. ​​​​​​​
CF Napa developed a two-label solution, prominently displaying the Cliff Lede brand name on the top label while a secondary strip label relayed all the pertinent wine-specific information. An embossed border encompassed the wordmark and created a billboard to draw attention to the branding. The border was echoed by an embossed frame around the secondary label, presenting the name of the wine and its world-famous Stags Leap District appellation. The contrast of dark black label paper and lustrous gold foil provided a luxurious sensibility for this premium Cabernet.
