Andy Fomenko is a friend of mine from growing up In San Clemente. Andy is a few years older then me and was a professional surfer in the 1980's and 90's - to a lot of the kids at T-Street and the Pier in San Clemente from back then - Andy has 'Icon' status. He was kind and 'super' cool and a really gifted surfer. No one messed with 'the White Russian' - a nickname given to him by Roy Gonzales (local surf artist and another 'SC Icon'). I rode with him recently and he asked me to do a logo for a new enterprise he was starting. It's really great to be giving something to Andy that he could use - he gave a lot to me as a kid... I got paid (he insisted), but I charged him a lot less then I normally would, so it was a win-win I guess... a lot of fun with this one.
