Like the sound of a soothing piano, you play on my body with your sharp thorns.
Tho you left so silent, like a footprint on a still water.
My soul still entwined with yours, with roots so deep .
I yearn for the sweet symphony of your voice whispering into my heart.
I still feel the prick of your thorns crawling under my skin.
Goodbyes are not always forever even tho we’ve said ours.
