道可道Fashion道
Fashion maestro Vivienne Tam collaborates with Hong Kong director Hu Enwei, drawing inspiration from the first line of the Tao Te Ching, "道可道" ("The Way that is speakable is not the constant Way"). The concept unfolds into a collection featuring the theme of "道" ("Tao") for the upper garments and nine pieces representing "德" ("Te") for the lower garments. These elements interweave to create a total of eighty-one styles, echoing the eighty-one chapters of the Tao Te Ching.
Titled "道可道Fashion道," the collaboration takes its name from the first chapter of the Tao Te Ching, translating to "The Way that is speakable is not the constant Way." This collection aims to showcase the ever-evolving nature of fashion and its relationship with the concept of "道" through the lens of Art Tech Fashion Show. The essence of the show lies in the continuous transformation of fashion and the interaction between humanity and technology. The theatrical presentation combines performance, music, calligraphy, motion capture technology, and digital puppets to bring forth a multi-dimensional display.
