This album cover is a redesign of BTS' BE album, that came out in November of 2020. The album talks about the members' experiences and feelings during the pandemic. This album was fully self-made by the group, from music to creative direction to management. I wanted to portray this self-made feeling with my illustration by using a layered paper style. Many of the songs take place in their home, detailing their daily lives during lockdown. To call back to these songs, I added a couch and lamp in a blue and grey color scheme (taken a song of the same name). The overall neutral color scheme and simplicity of the illustration allows fans to find their own interpretation of the art, and how it relates back to the album itself.
