Daikoku Nights
This project represents a lot of my interests and skills. It delves into car culture, Japanese Anime aesthetics, and my love of photography and learning new things. I recently decided to get back into 3D modeling so there are 3D assets composited in.
This is the process of turning an unedited Neutral Photo into a background befitting of an Anime Cat Girl
It took me a couple tries to sketch in a character I liked. I had no idea what her pose, look, or story was. I just went with the flow and had fun. Drawing over photos forces you to think about perspective so I think it's a good exercise.
I started to watch Blender Tutorials and I wanted to incorporate the simple blender knowledge I had into the project somehow. Everytime I go driving in Japan, like spirited driving, I have some form of Energy Drink. After making a simple model I repurposed my old artwork to be an energy drink label. It made me realize that drink designs have to be thought of as a cylindrical object. It opens up new creative avenues working with 3D textures and models. The cat sticker is actually AI generated. After doing some UV wrapping I had a model I was happy with.

My plan is to get some entry level work in a game or anime studio making simple props and models like these.
The Can isn't perfect, but I think as a game prop or asset it might fit in depending on what world it is.
