A Million Miles Away (Film)
Custom typeface and titles for an Amazon Original film by Alejandra Márquez Abella.
In a project led by Frida Medrano and under the creative direction of Flaminguettes, we had the privilege of contributing to an Amazon original film directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella.
Our primary focus was to enhance the film's visual experience through refined typography, ensuring greater legibility and personality, tailored for animation and cinematic use. To achieve this, Frida's "Jabin" typeface was meticulously customized. For the design of title cards and supporting graphics, we thoughtfully incorporated "Ancho" typeface by Beatriz Lozano. These choices drew inspiration from Chicano graphics, specifically Blackletter, while offering a contemporary representation of Mexican cultural roots.
Our work seamlessly blends tradition with modernity, elevating the film's visual storytelling on the big screen. It's our discreet contribution to making this Amazon original a more captivating cinematic experience.
