Media Kit homepage wireframes. I used Mockingbird to create interactive wireframes to demonstrate navigation. The wireframes are based on the utilization of the 1140 Grid.
I find it most useful to include actual content and copy whenever possible, including the wireframing stage.
I reviewed the content of the print media kit and noted a few challenges in the page layout. Each product possessed a unique set of sales reinforcements, such as statics and infographics, "praise" quotes about the product and overall background information. Bearing in mind these weaknesses and strengths (as dictated by the sales team via interviews and a private questionnaire) I set about creating the site map and information architecture. I decided to utilize CSS3 and HTML5 frameworks to create a responsive, adaptable website that would best benefit both our sales team as well as potential advertisers.
I began with Paul Irish's HTM5 Boilerplate to ensure I had the framework for smooth degradation in older browsers while utilizing the benefits of HTML5. I then infused UI elements from the Skeleton CSS3 framework into the 1140 Grid CSS3 framework, a popular alternative to the classic 960.gs framework.

I used a softer blue palette based on the Radio-Info branding for the design and utilized the same font families and button styles as the main website. The layout also makes use of a large icon-set to provide icons for orientation while browsing different products (website, newsletters, etc.). A "Contact Us" footer is present on all pages to always give potential advertisers a quick way to reach the sales department to learn more.
At present, the site is currently under construction. Some other work projects have taken precedent and the design has the added complexity of learning new frameworks(!). Beyond the frameworks, the site will be divided into dynamic pieces via Ruby on Rails by our resident programmer. The site is anticipated live in the next several weeks.
