OFFF ST. PETE 2014 TITLES

We call the title sequence for OFFF St. Petersburg “Skazka” - russian; from the same root as the verb “to say” — skazat. Understood as “that which is told”.
Skazka is a sequence inspired by the collaborative creative process and told as a ‘conjuring’. We meet. We build. We collide. We find our way to each other again. We grow stronger from it. There is magic in that and we sought to celebrate it.
As an intern at The Mill, I had the previlege of working with amazing directors, designers, animators and compositors. I had the opportunity to take on a huge portion of this project that ranged from designing the Sacred Geometry, the Eye, comping a few shots, and animating the titles.
