FanBants Reality Rebrand


FanBants Reality is a game where you compete with other reality TV fans. Pick housemates/housewives (from BBNaija, RHOLagos etc.) that dominate show challenges, cause drama, or spark romance.

The Problem:

The previous visual identity lacked depth and failed to resonate with the brand's core audience, passionate reality TV show lovers and enthusiasts. The color was monotonous and uninspiring, it was too "pink" and fed into a stereotype that it was created for a more feminine audience. It also wasn't as visually engaging as possible.

I was tasked with the responsibility of creating an identity system that was engaging and colorful, which resonated with the brand's value and its core audience.



My Approach:


In tackling this challenge, I employed a methodical approach that began with in-depth research. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the brand's needs and the preferences of reality TV show enthusiasts, I delved into extensive research. This included a thorough exploration of similar shows that resonated with the target audience. By examining the identity systems of these shows, I gained valuable insights into effective visual strategies and design elements that captivated reality show lovers.

This research-driven approach served as a foundation for revamping the brand's visual identity. As a result, I made critical updates to various aspects of the brand, including typography, visual layout, colors, and illustration direction. These revisions were carefully designed to provide the brand with a fresh and appealing look. The objective was to create a visual identity that not only resonated with the core audience but also stood out in the competitive world of reality TV. The new design elements were tailored to infuse vibrancy and personality into the brand, ultimately ensuring that it would engage viewers and convey the brand's values effectively.
