The weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day are always full of anxiety for young lovers who want to do something to impress their partners. The “pressure” is on full blast on social media where young people feel trapped in all this expectation and worry. At the same time, every year, couples go through the “Gift Block” a period of not knowing what to get for a loved one during the day of Love, Valentine’s Day.

We decided to run a campaign that will help set people to be #FreeToLove. We wanted to start a conversation and provide a guide that will help them to navigate Val’s Day without all the stress and anxiety. Our message was simple. Gifting your loved one isn’t that hard if you think about it. It’s Not That Deep; Just K(eep) I(t) S(uper) S(imple). A partly irreverent yet helpful take on the subject. From this idea, we created the K.I.S.S. guide, which was done in collaboration with peer opinion leaders from social media in a first of its kind guide that picked no sides, just the side of honest, simple gestures of love. I worked on this as Creative Director.
