Every-Day Fairytales

I am captivated by finding fairytales in every-day life, and the Missouri Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places to find inspiration. During this visit I sought out cacti and succulents because of their color and textures. (However, I couldn't pass up the roses and wild flowers!) While editing, I focused on using light and color filters to soften the images. I am exploring the concepts of fairytales, specifically the ways that separate their worlds from ours. The filters act as a layer of separation between the image and the real world, setting them apart and bringing them into their own place.
