Rug "Royal Devotion"
History and Inspiration:
My venture into textile art was inspired by a desire to expand the confines of illustration. In this domain, rugs serve as a bridge to materiality and tactility whilst maintaining the essence of graphic art. Each piece is not just an artifact of artistic expression but is also designed with a focus on maintenance comfort and functional endurance. The intersection of utility and the fine line between conceptual and applied art forms the core of this artistic journey.
Dimensions and Materials:
A 120cm x 70cm rug, crafted using embroidery and crochet techniques
on a mesh base from five types of wool.
This piece was finalized in the summer of 2020.
