"A Lion's Camouflage: Elegance Amidst the Foliage"
History and Inspiration:
My venture into textile art was inspired by a desire to expand the confines of illustration. In this domain, rugs serve as a bridge to materiality and tactility whilst maintaining the essence of graphic art. Each piece is not just an artifact of artistic expression but is also designed with a focus on maintenance comfort and functional endurance. The intersection of utility and the fine line between conceptual and applied art forms the core of this artistic journey.
Dimensions and Materials:
The 90 cm by 60 cm rug is a hand-tufted creation, adorned with intricate embroidery, and made from a diverse blend of materials including canvas, acrylic, wool, and cotton threads, accentuated
by beads.
Execution Technique:
The rug, a product of hand-tufting and detailed embroidery, features finished edges and a silicone-sealed base to ensure durability. It is distinguished by a hand-stitched label.
