Fine Art Photography - Summer 2014

My goal with this project is to show the beauty of the “typical” or “usual” landscapes, with the belief that you don’t have to travel halfway around the world to find amazing sights. All too often we take for granted what we see on a daily basis. I took these images at Freeman Lake in Elizabethtown, Ky. It is a popular spot for runners, fishermen, families, and more geese than you can shake a stick at. Many of those visitors “look” at the lake and its surroundings as they traverse the many walking trails, but they don’t “see” the beauty that they hold. These images are what I see, they are my “Visions of the Mind”.
