Hello everyone, for this project I was tasked with creating 6 individual, unique, yet cohesive stickers. I liked the idea of creating stickers representing different industries. I really liked the idea of having a set of stickers that would appeal to children in elementary school.

I started by drawing everything out on paper. I drew several different occupations that I would like to highlight and different styles that I thought might work. I settled on a more simplistic design to focus on the attributes of the profession.

The colors I chose were to be close to the accurate colors you would see in that profession. For example, the artist/painter has the additive primary colors on the palette, but secondary colors on them.

My initial design had a dark shadow under the ghosts to imply that they were floating. After coming back to it after a little time, I kept looking at it to be distracting and pulling away from the rest of it. I tried going with a lighter gray but eventually decided to just get rid of it all together.

This was a very challenging project for me, I was definitely having a hard time coming up with a design where I had minimal direction in what way to go. I really liked the idea but found myself struggling in the beginning. I can't wait to see myself progress knowing that I am just starting out.
