The Dada concept store needed a logo image that had to be refined and contemporary but individual. It had to be flexible so that it can be applied to any product. I went with the idea of an old 19th century Emporium .

I found this great floor in a church in Sicily, the rest was all covered up but I got the idea.

Initial logo type studies which were too Dada.Instead i went with the concept image of an old Emporium.
Detail: I overlayed the pattern several times and kept the black lines and pixelled parts which appeared but would normally have been removed.
