This is a concept redesign project where the objective was to design a new dust jacket for the classic story, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.  The design must be feel new, engaging, fun and eye catching.

My main inspiration came from the original 1951 Disney animated movie with it's vivid color scheme and one of my favorite characters, the Cheshire cat.   My color palette includes acidic shades of purple, pink, yellow, with accents of white.

I opted for a fun and bold aesthetic, and wanted to incorporate the spiral where Alice is falling down the rabbit hole into the concept.   The spiraling clock not only adds an element of visual interest, but gives the depth of falling into the hole and also ties in well with the story's overall theme of time.

The end result is a dynamic and eye-catching book cover that I believe does justice to the timeless classic that is Alice in Wonderland and will attract the consumers attention.
