Artist's Statement
I chose happiness and food as my project themes. To express these themes, I walked around campus on a sunny day and took pictures of vendors, colorful market foods, and a tomato plant growing across from the University Health Center. The light greens, vibrant purples, cheerful yellows, and glistening orange colors evoke the happy emotions. The sunny weather sets a pleasant atmosphere. Getting to walk around and visit different locations to see their goods also creates a sense of appreciation for the work it takes to make our food.
