A unique and memorable dining experience that beautifully showcases the art of cultural fusion. Nyai Rasa Restaurant not only presents Javanese-Chinese Indonesian Nyonya cuisine but also immerses in an authentic atmosphere. Celebrating the rich culinary history, where each dish narrates a tale of heritage and passion.


The Nyai Rasa restaurant’s ambiance, enriched with art and heritage, truly captivates me. The allure of Peranakan paintings on the walls, the stunning interior color, and even the ceramic details all contribute to the restaurant’s artistic atmosphere. I am deeply drawn to these elements and would love to extend this captivating ambiance to the menu book’s design as well.

On photography, I took the role of the director of photography and food stylist. I want the photograph to embody a strong vintage Javanese aesthetic, featuring traditional Javanese props like bamboo, clay, and vintage eating utensils from the past. The photographs are taken under dramatic warm lighting to enhance the atmosphere.

The menu book is designed with a classic and elegant appearance both in typography and illustration, featuring a color palette of Peranakan red and green.
