Box/cover for the book "Howl's Moving Castle" by the English writer Diana Wynne Jones.
It contains original prints of illustrations made using the color lithography technique.
I envisioned a cover made of copper plate and oak. The copper plate is used for the etching technique. I intended the cover to interact with the endpaper.
Holes in the shape of figures were made using hydrojet cutting.
They match the image on the flyleaf. I made the drawing on a copper plate using the etching technique. I cut it out with a needle and etched it in acid.
When the copper plate was still separate from the box, I printed an image from it on paper.
You can see what happened in the last photo.
