Diego Zaks's profile

Invisible Protests

This project collects images coming from Venezuelan protests and displays them in real size in a different physical context. This series bridges the geographical gap that separates Venezuela and NYC to pose the question "What if this happened in your country? Would it matter then?".
Using the custom-built Arduino Light Printer to create an image.
"Invisible Protests, the culmination of Zaks' thesis, took the Venezuelan protests to the streets....
Zaks transported and translated the contemporary Venezuelan fervor to NYC, resulting in a series of augmented-reality images that impress upon viewers the gravity of the situation at hand."

This is an ongoing project.

Thank you for watching!
